LOCAL PIPELINE ENGINEER EARNS BOARD CERTIFICATION
David Kozman Named Board-Certified Pipeline Engineer-Water of the Utility Engineering & Surveying Certification Board and Civil Engineering Certification Inc.
Lake Mills, WI —David P. Kozman, P.E., F. ASCE, Sr. Product Engineer of HammerHead Trenchless, was recently announced as a Board-Certified Pipeline Engineer-Water (BC.PLW) of the Utility Engineering & Surveying Certification Board (UESCB), a subsidiary of Civil Engineering Certification Inc. and the American Society of Civil Engineers. In support of CEC’s mission to certify experienced civil engineers who demonstrate specialty expertise beyond professional license and to broaden and deepen the body of knowledge for practicing professional engineers, the BC.PLW board certification was launched to improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the profession of utility pipeline engineering. The BC.PLW certification is the highest post-license certification one can attain in the utility pipeline engineering profession.
The BC.PLW demonstrates specialty expertise beyond professional licensure, strong professional ethics, and a commitment to life-long learning and continuing professional development.
As a Sr. Product Engineer for HammerHead Trenchless, Kozman provides comprehensive design and technical support for all HammerHead cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) product lines throughout the Americas. He has over 28 years of related industry experience in pipeline manufacturing, design, construction and trenchless pipeline renewal technologies for water and sewer applications.
An ASCE Fellow, Dave has authored and co-authored numerous papers, articles, and publications, helped develop and advance industry standards and specifications, and is an active member of various committees and associations, including ISO TC 138/SC 8, ASTM F17, AWWA and NASSCO. He holds a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is a registered Professional Engineer in 6 states.
The Utility Engineering & Surveying Certification Board’s mission is to provide excellence in leadership by elevating the professional practice of utility engineering and surveying through advanced certification, continuing education, and ethical practice.
